3D Printed Finger Splint.

One of the designers at Lime Design broke their finger and noticed that the current options that were available on the market were bulky and uncomfortable.  We decided to create a far more ergonomic solution that would help heal the finger in a more convenient fashion, and due it fast – rapid prototyping on display!

We reversed engineered the broken finger by taking measurements to create our custom 3D printed cast. We went through many iterations to find a solution that was highly breathable so you don’t get pruney or wrinkly fingers – no one likes that. They are designed with simplicity in mind so that you have an easy way to adjust the shape of the splint as the finger begins to heal. At Lime Design we like to keep it green. Preferably lime green, but we’re not too picky.

The 3D Finger Splints were 3D printed using PLA biodegradable plastic, and were designed and prototyped in south Florida.
